Lesson 6.4 Tool

Build your Post-Purchase
Sequence before you write.

Tell us what was purchased and who the buyer is. We will map the full sequence with email-by-email blueprints and writing prompts for every email.

Tell me about the purchase
The sequence structure, length, and job changes depending on what was bought. Get this right first.
Course or digital product
Something they access online — a course, a program, a membership, a digital download. Buyer's remorse hits fast. Your job is to get there first, deliver access immediately, and get them to take one first step.
Service or coaching
They hired you. They bought a commitment, not an instant download. They are waiting — and waiting is where buyer's remorse lives. Your job is to fill that space with confidence, not silence.
Low-ticket or physical product
A smaller purchase — a template, a guide, a physical item, a low-cost product. Lighter touch. Confirm, delight, plant the seed for what is next.
Step 1 of 2
Tell me about the buyer
The sequence should meet the buyer where they are — what they are feeling, what they need to know, and what might make them doubt their decision.
Excited and ready
They bought with confidence. Your job is to meet that energy and channel it into action immediately.
Hopeful but cautious
They want this to work but have been burned before. They need early proof that this time is different.
Slightly uncertain
Buyer's remorse is already knocking. They need immediate reassurance that they made the right call.
Excited but overwhelmed
They want to dive in but do not know where to start. They need a clear, simple first step above everything else.
One thing only. Not a tour of everything included. The single most important action they can take in the first 24 hours.
Optional but makes the prompts more specific.
Every offer has a predictable friction point. Knowing yours means you can address it before they hit it and quietly give up.
Yes
There is a natural upgrade, related offer, or next step that makes sense once they have gotten value from this purchase.
Not yet
This is the only offer right now. The sequence ends with a handoff back to the newsletter list.
Yes
Ask for a testimonial or case study once they have had a real win. High-value and feeds future social proof.
Not yet
Skip it for now. Can be added later once you have buyers going through the sequence.
Yes
A Facebook group, Slack community, Circle, or other space where buyers can connect with each other.
No
No community yet. The sequence ends with a clear handoff back to the newsletter list.
